If your parcel overlaps any portion of the Special Permit Zone, your site may experience local flooding. For new or re-development of your parcel, you are required to obtain Special Permit Zone clearance from the Town of Paradise prior to approval of your permits. Specific site design measures may be required, including specific placement of structures, engineered site and corresponding elevations of structures and site and utility design measures to mitigate flooding potential. This may include requirements for elevation or floodproofing certifications, per Paradise Municipal Code, Section 8.55.035 - Special Permit Zones Adoption. Be prepared to identify the Special Permit Zone on submittals to the Town of Paradise and follow requirements in the PMC for proposed parcel alterations.
