This is a desktop first application with limited mobile functionality. It is the intention of the California Agricultural Resiliency Index (CARI) project to improve the durability and ecological integrity of agricultural lands throughout the state. The initial CARI offering is a resilience explorer that allows users to interact with benchmarked resiliency values at grid (200m), parcel, and user-defined area interest scales. The benchmarked resiliency values, or index values, are derived from a weighted multi-criteria overlay analysis based on freely available open-source data sets. The datasets have been interpolated into a uniform 200 square meter grid, grouped into sub-indices, and scored and weighted by academic experts from each relevant field of study. This is a beta release of the Resilience Explorer and users should be aware that undiscovered bugs exist. Please report any issues to mbrush@csuchico.edu. This is a product of an ongoing collaboration between the
Center for Regenerative Agriculture and Resilient Systems and the
North State Planning and Development Collective.
